Message from the Executive Director

I am deeply honored to have been unanimously appointed Executive Director by the Union Housing Authority Board of Commissioners on March 16, 2026. While I have spent the past two and a half years at a larger agency, much of my career has been dedicated to medium‑sized organizations just like ours. I understand the unique challenges we face-often the same as larger agencies, but with fewer resources. Yet I have always found that smaller agencies excel because of their commitment, resilience, and determination. That spirit is what drives meaningful progress.

For more than six decades, the Union Housing Authority has served the City of Union and surrounding counties by ensuring decent, safe, and affordable housing for low‑income residents. Today, the need for affordable housing is greater than ever. Families across a wider range of income levels are experiencing housing instability, and our role in addressing these challenges has never been more vital. We remain steadfast in our mission and ready to meet the evolving needs of our community.

As we look to the future, the Union Housing Authority is committed to advancing the following goals:

1. Maintaining the availability of decent, safe, and affordable housing
2. Improving the quality of the housing we provide
3. Expanding the range of assisted housing choices
4. Strengthening the quality of life and economic vitality of Union's citizens
5. Promoting self‑sufficiency and asset development for families and individuals
6. Ensuring equal opportunities and furthering fair housing
7. Reducing the impact of domestic and sexual violence toward women
8. Providing resident activities that build community awareness and engagement

Together, we will continue to uphold our mission, expand our impact, and ensure that every resident has access to the stability and opportunity they deserve.
